    Is the five star A-1 the best “budget” A-1 for around $300?

    It seems the only options at this price range are Avi (does not look as authentic), vintage (but incredibly hard to find a genuine goat/cape skin model in decent shape at this price), or five star. Am I missing anything or for around the $300 is five star the best A-1 you can get?

    Okay so you’d recommend I look into jackets in the 60s and beyond? Should I compromise on the leather or collar ? Meaning maybe goatskin but not get the fur mouton collar?

    Thank you Thank you very much , that jacket is gorgeous. So basically look for goat skin and mouton fur at the minimum. Then obvious stuff like minimal wear, intact knit etc

    I see. That’s a shame. Historically I thought cowhide was more durable than goat ? Perhaps not as nicely finished or soft though
