    I was at a thrift shop in Riverside CA found 51 mint condition 1940s ties for $2 each. I bought them all. Some have the original tags NOS. I wonder what the history is behind them and, why someone donated them all to the thrift store. Told my wife at least they are going to a good home now.

    I just started finding 1950s fleck suits in thrift shop all over San Diego area. I really like the wool sport coats. I hit the Jack pot last week when I found a fleck gab jacket and wool coat the same day.

    dating my thift store suit

    The way I date my clothes is by the Union Made patch on the interior pocket. Each patch has a serial number. I look them up online and it gives you and time period to which the suit could have been made.

    I used Dax for a while and it would dry my hair out. I use a water base pomade. I washes out easy. Layright works great I also used the new three flowers water base pomade and its stay shiney all day.

    I got the box set at a CD record shop in hollywood. Amazon is a good place to find CD cheap. I got the Artie Shaw story for $10 has 10 CDs 25 songs on each disc.
