So glad that you were able to figure this out Al Vise! This has been a wonderful thread, and I'm glad that the original owner was found. It's too bad that she has passed away, because it would have been an interesting story to read how your girlfriend was able to purchase it and present it to...

A Huge Radio and TV Museum in My Backyard

Ah...thanks for this, very interesting. I don't want to date myself too much, but when I look back at "the old days" I have very fond memories of watching our old 1950's-60's TV (that was actually called a TV, and not a Flat Screen Display) and staying up very late some nights, like until...

Here is a link to a site where they have a lot of Silver that is monogrammed. Perhaps if you look at various items on here and compare it to your ring, you might be able to determine what that last letter is: http://berrycom.com/index.php?&categories=&category_id=9&items_p_page=80&page=10...

Alright: No big news here, but I think I have solved if this ring is to be read "upside down" or "right side up" After doing some extensive research on Dieges & Clust rings and other items that they produced of that era, I can say with the utmost certainty that it should be read "Right Side...

Nice picture Alvise, I still cannot say for certain what that last letter is though. However, I did find this Script Writing for that era. It looks very similar to what it is written on your ring...I did try to post a picture, instead of a link, but for some reason, it wouldn't work for me...

Here is another case of those script letters being very hard to read, and it's also from Etsy, where your girlfriend purchased yours Alvise...

Thanks HudsonHawk, So glad that someone could read or recognize that wording/logo. Looks like it was a very prestigious company until they sold out to Herff Jones in 1980. A lot of their items do indeed bring big money. dlvh

Alvise, It is very hard to see that second set of pictures. Can you take a better quality picture (like the top one) and at a more side angle, if possible, and a lot bigger so we can zoom in would also help. I do believe the writing should NOT be read upside down! I can only read the first...

Yes Alvise, If you post pictures of the inside (including the makers mark) that would indeed help. Did I write wife...:eusa_doh: ...oops, I meant girlfriend. Good place, Etsy...If she can still get the story from the person she bought it from on Etsy, that still might help. Looking forward...

I just received a letter from woman who graduated from Milne High in 1946. She was not familiar with anyone that had the initials M.A.P. from the class of '45, but gave me the name of someone she thought...in her words "must belong to her" but I have my doubts about that person she mentioned...

Alvise, I joined classmates.com and took a pretty close look at that 1944 yearbook, but found no one that matched those initials in there. There is a Marilyn P. that graduated in '42 however. The list of graduates from Milne can be found here by the way...

Glad I could help, Alvise! I think if you joined www.classmates.com (I think it's free) and paged through that 1944 yearbook, you may see that this person listed, she (or he) should be a Junior in that yearbook, and you could very well find her (or his) name in that yearbook. I just this week...

I cannot find the yearbook from 1945 for Milne High School, but here is a link to the 1944 yearbook at Classmates.com. If you join www.classmates.com you may find out something from the pictures that are in this 1944 yearbook: http://www.classmates.com/yearbooks/Milne-High-School/84751?page=1...

    ADAM ALLEY

Just received the hat today. A picture of the hats i.d. tag reveals this: Can anyone explain what "ABM 10 3Constell.34" means? I presume "Cloud" is the color.
