    Akubra Campdraft

Glad you're enjoying the BG, Sam -- and you will love the silverbelly. It's the one I wouldn't give up ;) Seriously, I think it's my favorite Akubra (neck and neck with my brown Fed III), probably why it's the only one so far to have its name worn off the sweatband.

    Akubra vs Borsalino Quality

I love my Akubras and wear them for dress and casual. I'd say my moonstone Fed IV is my "dressiest" Akubra and is my most frequent choice with suits, along with my carbon grey and acorn fawn Stylemasters, which are frequent daily business wear for me and look great with my Burberry trench. I've...

    Akubra Overload

I believe the Whippet has a higher crown. And the photos I've seen of the modern Whippet, the crown is shaped/sloped differently than the Stylemaster.

As I understand it, Imperial grade is all rabbit and Heritage is a blend of rabbit and wild hare.

Either that, or the Sydney has the same effect as a full moon on werewolves ;)

    Silver belly ??

I was recently wearing my silverbelly Akubra CD in a parking garage with a low ceiling and didn't duck quite low enough to clear an overhead pipe, resulting in a rusty smudge down one side of the crown starting at the pinch. A few good swipes with a stiff brush has rendered the blemish about 99...

Me too -- my first Akubra, a steal from eBay. It competes with my Campdraft for my greatest affection ;)

Wanted: Wide Brimmed Beater, size 7.5 +

It's a "large." Snug? Ehhhh ... a bit tighter than my true 7 1/2's but not uncomfortably so. But if you're on the bigger end of the size, as your request for a 60 or 61 would indicate, it's probably a bit smaller than you need.

Wanted: Wide Brimmed Beater, size 7.5 +

Wool or fur? I've got a brown wool felt Bailey fedora listed; I think the brim is nearly 3 inches, maybe 2 7/8 ...

    WTB: Size 7 3/8 Fedora

This hat of mine is still available: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?57700-FS-Bailey-Fedora-size-large I passed on the first offer due to my preference for a US buyer; second offer did not follow through ...

    FS: Bailey Fedora, size large

Simon: I would have to determine size and weight of the final shipping package, but initial research suggests it would cost between $15 and $30 for international first-class mail. I'm thinking that makes buying locally a better deal for you, but I'll let you decide that. Thanks, Jim

    FS: Bailey Fedora, size large

Selling my Bailey Fedora -- yes, this model is just called the Fedora. Wool felt, unlined, size large (I take a 7 3/8 to 7 1/2, and this is just a tad snug on me). It's a rich brown with a wide ribbon -- I think it has a great vintage look to it. Brim's about 2 3/4". Crushable, water repellant...

FS: Bailey Spencer straw fedora, size large

I'm selling my Bailey Spencer straw fedora that I bought on a whim in Vegas a couple years ago. It's a rich, reddish, chocolate brown with a black ribbon -- nice, but doesn't really go with what I usually wear. It's a large; I wear between 7 3/8 and 7 1/2, and it's just a bit snug on me. Worn...
