    The Vintage Fur Thread

I do not support the modern fur industry but I do like vintage furs and am particularly fond of the wraps that have the head and legs and all that. Do those go by a particular name? I usually call them stoles but if there is a more particular term I'd love to know it so I can weed out the...

    Besame cosmetics

Marla, can I ask how much you paid for a lippy at Dusty Buttons? I make frequent trips to NYC and am wondering if I should just pick one up in person rather than buying online if it's not marked up considerably. Did they have any other items from the line?

I found that a wider...

    Zipper locations

Yeah, I have a couple that have the small zippers at the neck but also a standard one on the side. I guess as long as everything else seems to be correct with the dress then I won't worry about it too much. I just want to make sure it's not a dead giveaway. Like if I saw a piece of clothing...

    Zipper locations

I have always used zippers as an indicator of the age of a dress and since I mainly focus on the 40's I look for zippers to be located on the side. I had always believed that it wasn't until the 50's that zippers were being placed at the back but I have seen dresses on etsy and ebay in...
