Here is one I built myself with a 1953 regulators watch movement and a VERY high quality custom made case. Note the micro adjustment! enabeling perfect regulation.
The size of the balance wheel contributes to the isochrony.
Oh, and don't miss the Breguet overcoil.
I agree.
I abhor brand reverence, the Veblen thing.
I prefer ' sterile' dials/displays.
Unfortunately there are nowadays very few un- or discreetly branded watches.
Tomorrow I have a lunch date with a VERY sweet lady and plan to wear a mega-sterile watch. Discreet size, simple stainless steel...
we are now going to get.
It would be most unreasonable if we would not, so I see that as a fact. There will be a men only room now too; who has a suggestion for the name?
Great reading this topic.
When reading up on bowlers the history bowled me over.
I am deeply involved with horse riding and o.a. have witten a book about 'the game keepers dog': the bowler was invented as a safety hat for horse riding game keepers...
Just one other example of the tudududu...
Euh.... nope.
Not in ANY way.
It is just accurately reset and thus on time. That is all.
It still is an odd puzzle, still only our agreed clock time definiton and only in 1 hour format at that too.
Btw, you clock is off, in need of adjustment.
The seconds hand is not in sync with the minute...
Clock time is simply an agreed way to represent time in relation to the rithms of days as a result of the earth´s movement in relation to the sun.

Is there a Borsalino dating ´guide´ like for the Cavanagh et al?
I am courting a hat I find very attractively shaped with a distinct high straigh top and that does not conform with my perception of fifties+ for the liner cover.
It also has a 2,5 cm. ribbon.
Not that it...

I have REAL high end analogues but as far as styling goes, the digital representation gives the designer way more freedom to create simple elegant time. I mean what can be more simple elegant than just HH:MM ???
Have a look at ´The Watch´ by Flemming Bo Hansen originally made by Ventura...
Actually, that is far easier for them to deal with than the 12 hour analogue dial.
Old timers (pun intended) may be úsed to the 12 hour analogue watch face to represent 24 hours of erath rotation but is ís an illogical puzzle. More incomprehinsible still is the analogue chrograph. I lóve proper...

Nah, I remember when I was writing my first book and spending a bit more time at home. Prepairing diner...
23:44 here so still ´today´: Just took a shower to get all the pollen and assorted plant matter out of my hair/ off my sweaty skin. Been battling weeds under the sun with a sickle in wellies and shorts.
Changed into a nice necktie colour matching my grey Hückel Homburg and my new walking cane...
