I guess I wasn't clear for which I apologize. It's on the outside of the hat and not the liner. I've clipped a picture and highlighted it. You can see it in other photos as well.- Hat Dandy

I have a question on this hat. Is there a 'dot' on the side of the hat? On the left side (when worn), I think I see something near the front of the crease. I want to know if it's just lint or something else.- Hat Dandy

50s Bash ?
As a shot in the dark, the 50's bash I believe would be something along the lines of a teardrop type bash, which is not the same as a c-crown bash (another classic). -
Proper Barber Shop
I'm luck enough to live an town that has old school Italian barbershop. However, they are restricted somewhat to the tools they can use due to laws here in Ontario but it's still a great experience nonetheless.- Hat Dandy

Lack of taste ?
Brown and black can work well with each other. Brown often has black undertones. As someone else has said, too much color matching can be regarded as unfashionable. -

It's surprising the number of compliments I get from wearing my fedoras. I'm not fishing for them but it's nice to hear that people can appreciate a fine hat. -

The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD
I've hat very little luck stretching a hat beyond a half-size. My local hatter was able to stretch a hat a full size. However, the hat was orginally a 7 1/4" size and it shrunk to just under 7 1/8". He was only stretching back to its original size.
