Barbering
I remember my Dad doing them when I was young. Seems like in the mid to late 80's Health regs changed and they had to go to disposable razors. Mostly though they would use them on the back of the neck if asked. Only the older guys got the shaves and hot towels. Come to think of it... I think...- wecrosscreek

Tip the Barber? YES! (But only if he's a true good Barber.) ;) By good I mean more than the hair cut or shave. This coming from a genuine S.O.B. (Son of a Barber, also a Son of a Beautician). A true Barber (and this is just my opinion mind you) focuses on the customer. He doesn't "spin" you...- wecrosscreek

I can't believe this sort of attitude still persists today
My sister now lives in Seattle. She was told early on in her carrer that she should lose her Southern accent if she wanted to advance. She was able to do that. I gave her a hard time aabout it...
