I'm looking to make an Indy / outback style hat out of oilcloth. I can't find a good pattern though. I've checked reddit and etsy and the closest I've gotten are a few leather ones. Seam allowance etc seems like it would be different for canvas. Any ideas? -

I have a woolrich cap I really like, but it's gotten a tad tight. Is there a way to stretch it without any special equipment? Should I wet it first? Also, if anyone has suggestions on good places to get newsboys of good quality without breaking the bank, I'd love the heads up. Thanks! -

Thanks! I have seen the Kanol's but I have never seen them in person. I'm afraid I may not be able to wear them since they are not lined, and I have a bald head. It might be a little itchy :P My dad would not have that problem though. What kind of quality are they? They look a little different... -

What are they usually made out of? Are hat brushes a soft bristle or hard? I have a horse hair shoe brush which is really soft, but it seems like something stiffer would be better for a hat. -

Well I narrowed it down to the campdraft and the federation, and the wife voted for the fed, in carbon grey. So, it should be here in a couple weeks. Then I'm sure at some point I'll have to save up for a CD also. :D -
