Marketing 101 My Strat and Open Road are dimensionally identical. the only difference I can see is the sweatband. Same hat marketed at different customer groups. Very efficient for the factory. They only have to stock two separate sweatbands and it opens up a whole new market with no R&D costs- Topdog

Welting a raw brim
if I remember correctly, Art can only do this on a light weight felt. The regular dress felts that Art uses are too thick for his sewing machine. -

Help with repair to a straw hat
Elmer's Miracle Cure Elmer's white school glue for white straw hats and Elmer's Wood glue for natural colored straw hats. I have repaired a small tear in my stetson cuenca panama straw hat . "A little dab 'll do ya" on the inside of the hat right in the tear. It is virtually an invisible repair. -

No Question, they're as good or better. I have both Borsalino and Dobbs....from the heyday, circa early 1950's. They both are great hats with excellent quality. -
