I had the Lutz model Barbour with the Sylkoil and I loved the material and the dryer kind of finish, but the fit wasn't quite right for me.
I recently reproofed an older Belstaff using the modern Belstaff dressing, this one, and the finish I got with that was quite close to the Sylkoil. More so...
The released 'grey' LVC halfbelt which looks like this was from the season after the Aero jacket when they took the leathers in house. From memory, when I fell down the hole of LVC research, I think it was 2004 date wise and the jacket's were made in Turkey.
Probably not quite what you are looking for but I had an order in for one of these on aliexpress. Its based on a non leather Freewheelers style. Not sure how much wear it would get but at the prices there it was worth a go.
Dissapointingly the seller got back to me to say they didn't have...
Thanks for posting this, its nice to see some more photos of one of the SJC jackets.
I saw the other day that they are doing this jacket in a two-tone colour way at the moment.
I have an early Pike Bros and a Bronson. I like both and while I got the Pike Bros first and then bought a Bronson I ended up keeping both. Like you I think I wanted a more 'fitted' version that the one I had.
The Pike Bros is big, warm and great if I'm going to be outside working in winter or...
Alpha were really pushing their fashion line here in Europe about that period and there were lots of varients of there traditional jackets in all kinds of different materials, they did tend toward slimmer fitting so I'd guess your original jacket was one of those.
Hope the jacket you've bought...
The Bronson is more of a 'fitted' jacket for sure and I think the sleeves on their version are a little on the short side all around, the sleeves on my 44 are only just long enough for me.
The Pike Bros version is a much more generous fit all around but if you want a trimmer fit then I guess...
=4']This was what I found if it helps, a couple of posts with photos but not much help on the leather side of things...

Can't help with the brand but did spot a pretty similar RL version going cheap the other day if anyone is interested

Has a bit of a Freewheelers look to it, agree the shoulder measurements seem odd, I guess Gustin measure them different from 'normal'?
This was the only fit pic I could see
The last Beaufort I ordered, probably about ten years ago, seemed just as well made as the older jackets. This surprised me as I'd recently had a normal wax International which wasn't well made at all and leaked like a sieve from new.
I had a Lutz too for a short while and that was a decently...
Maybe some of us need to get in touch with SJC... that was the jacket I regreted not getting too as I liked the style and the price was within my 'comfortable to gamble on' range.
I think the problem I had at the time was that the details/sizing were a big vague and not actually finalised...
The best fitting Aero I have is one I bought second hand based on posted measurements AFTER two custom ordered ones.
I provided my measurements and was guided by Aeros advice on sizing and adjustments on both the custom orders and somehow it didn't lead to a well fitting jacket for whatever...
Had one of these a few years ago, Namamica Rider Jacket, unlined gore-tex treated wool and it was a nice lightweight jacket...
Found a couple listed here, don't know how legitimate the website is (seems odd they have them for sale ten years or so after they came out.)
My rule is if its looks to be a gamble on size then it has to be at a low enough price that I know I can pass it along without too much loss. Sounds like the right call on this one.
I think the story about the coat being destroyed was probably one of those tabaloid exagerations, Chris Evans sold the coat and a bunch of other items in a charity auction for the NHS, this year it seems -...
