Lingel in Erfurt was once the largest shoe producer in Germany.

Here a catalogoue from the late 1930's.

    Great variety of leisure shoes.

    Wonderful shoes!
    The military boots are foreboding...

I am enamored by the shoe on page 13... and the others with a middle welt.

Interesting that they emphasize that the marching boots are without any cardboard!

Amazing find! I love all of them but those with the middle welt are super unique.

I also like the additional photos providing the context in which the shoe will be worn.

At least I now know what boot to wear when drinking beer.

Great catalogue indeed. Sorry I am late here but it could need a bump anyway.

I had placed some of those into the late 40s or 50s while others look spot on 30s to me. Still much to learn when it comes to shoes.

I would to know if someone saved the pictures. I didn't and now they're gone. I would love to have them because in the future I would love to have a pair of bespoke shoes made and this was a fantastic inspiration.

You are welcome. Please show us the results if you get shoes made.
