1930s overcoats ...

I can direct anyone who's interested towards a 1930s overcoat or two. Not from eBay, neither. Measurements are:

46” chest, 17” upper mid back width, 17 1/2” under arm sleeve length, 45” mid back length, 56” bottom circumference

This one costs just $22 :eek::eek::eek:. It's SB.

and

The second is an absolute beauty. DB with persian lamb facing on collar. Appears to have full fur lining. A little more pricey. Measurements:

MEASURING ON THE OUTSIDE, CHEST IS 48. BUT, BECAUSE OF THE LINING, I WOULD SAY MORE LIKE A 44.

SHOULDER TO SHOULDER ACROSS THE BACK 19

UNDERARM TO CUFF 18

SHOULDER TO HEM 46

pm me and i'll drop you the links.

Very good Paul!!! The coat and hat look great!!

We have had a lot of wind and rain.No snow as of yet.Maybe tonight they say.
My wife and i have been in Long Beach at the coast for the last few days.So we have seen quite a bit of turbulent weather.
Glad to see another Washingtonian on the Lounge.Keep the posts going!!

Renton (Fairwood at 535') reporting in with...about 2" of snow and it's still falling.

Great overcoat by the way! Something I've been thinking about...and after today roving around the University District, I think I know what *I* want for Christmas!

The condition is actually very good considering its age. When I first got it, the front buttons were all very loose and felt like they might tear off and the liner needed to be restitched to the coat at the cuffs, but I had my mom mend all that. Other than that there are no stains or tears.

Thanks again Baron!

Looks great! What's the skinny on the hat? New or vintage?

The hat is a Portis fur felt. It says "Super-Lux" inside on the sweatband and it says "The New Look" inside on the crown. It is definetely vintage but I really don't know how old it is.
