1970's style polo shirts

Old footage of the era and films set in the 1970's sometimes show guys wearing what I would describe as a polo shirt with no buttons. Obviously that isn't quite accurate, the open collar is designed in a v so that it can't overlap to fasten up even if there were buttons. So, what was this style called? I haven't found anything similar for sale but if I knew the name, I might be able to. I think they look quite cool.

It's just a polo shirt. Many versions came without buttons from the 1930's right through to the 1990's. I suspect some places still make them like this but haven't been paying attention. I had some black ones like this. Polo shirts are also called golf shirts, tennis shirts and knitted sports shirts.
