60s Butwin Steerhide Police Jacket

Got this guy awhile back. Thought this would be a buy and Fly, but on arrival it fit. So I'm going to keep in my Police jacket collection. I've owned this model by Buco and a Ralph Edwards. Both were sold leaving room for this to stay around. This is a very popular jacket style. I don't know how many were actually used by police. Several makers did some variation of this jacket. I assume the original was made by Buco. All three I owned were very comfortable wearing jackets. The Butwin is a very heavy jacket, the leather is Steerhide and very thick.

Always loved this jacket. Perfect leather for it as it looks indestructible. Too bad I can't pull it off.
