I took a look at one of the Hippy Jackets at Galashiels last year, but (unfortunately) the XL size was too small. I asked Holly earlier this year about doing a bigger one, but Ken said no.

I do like the style a lot, but (alas) it didn't happen.

Actually, I think a nice Stuart tartan lining or something similar would've been suitably psychedelic.

Sit still long enough.... it'll be back or sold used. Something that "unusual" will get sold and resold as the owners get a look at themselves in it or tire of the snickers behind their backs. Just because you CAN do a thing doesn't mean it should be done!

I'm all for it. I think the lighting (Of the Japanese models) makes the jacket much oranger than it actually is. Just a guess.
Part of the appeal for me, at least, IS the fact that its kind of goofy. But other than that, I will put money down that it looks alright in person. I also have a rather big 1960s ******.
