Satin is very comfortable to wear. But if it's very humid and sweaty, I would still prefer cotton drill because its structure makes it less “sticky.” At least that's my impression with my jackets.
I once had an Aero jacket made of unfinished HH with a cotton drill lining that was slightly thinner than the usual heavy cotton drill. It was a nice fabric for spring/early summer. I don't wear leather jackets in summer because it's simply too warm for me and I find leather jackets too uncomfortable to carry around.
Thanks! I’m going to check out how Aero's linings perform in hot and humid weather.

This is exactly how mine went, and very quickly, too. The brown edges either got darker or became sandy. The colour progression is similar in Blackened Brown Vicenza, but less rapid and seems to be less ‘extreme’. I went with brown contrast stitching on the jerky to complement the browns coming through; the olive stitching looks good.

Beef jerky is disgusting? Why do you feel so strongly about that?

What?

It's a strange name for the leather and does absolutely nothing to describe it. Jerky is dessicated by its very nature; Aeros "jerky" horsehide is a pliable leather with beautiful drape.

Both my BB Vic jackets were very black and showed little signs of fading in the (admittedly brief) time I had them. Maybe a bit of ‘chipping’ on the cuffs, but not that nice tea core fade that you see on some jackets at wear points and creases. I went with brown stitching and zipper tape to blend with the eventual appearance of the brown core.

If I were ordering another jacket form Aero, I’d probably try the jerky because of that lovely grain
