It's back -- I thought I would give this jacket another try. Definition of Insanity perhaps? (Trying same thing over & over ...) So I owned this jacket from 2016 - 2017 and it's made the rounds on FL since. I did not purchase it new - or I would have asked for 26" - 27" sleeves. That's the issue here, I prefer longer, not shorter sleeves. I thought I would be ok with it. However the day it arrived a collared Aero Seven went up for sale on here with none of the length issues of this jacket, and in the same color of Steerhide. So this simply goes back up for sale again. As the last seller indicated, this is 9+ lbs of "tumbled" FQHH (*Perhaps Storse - it's from 2012). Who really knows? It's the heaviest Aero I have ever had. A couple more scrapes around the pockets & shoulders, but very little wear. Still could use break-in. No odors, clean and ready to use. Olive cotton drill lining. One inside pocket with snap closure. Nickle Talon zips. A very unique Aero provided it fits you. Asking $600 Shipped in CONUS - PayPal F&F - international Shipping at cost. Dimensions -- Tagged a 44 (based off the 50's Half-Belt style - so "relaxed fit") Shouders - 20" Pit to Pit - 24" Torso (apx where a straight zip would be) - 22" Back - 26" Sleeve Straight - 24" Sleeve Around - 26" Photos:
^ agreed! While the sleeves aren’t perfect, I think this one otherwise fits quite well. Perfect through the body and back length.
Thanks for the positive feedback guys, however as they say, something else came up that I like more... Now on ebay too if you prefer that route - but get a better deal here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/154296245567
Digging around in old posts for size 44 bootleggers, I’ve found that most seem to have the 24” arms. Indeed odd. Wonder if it’s just part of design to have shorter sleeves. Otherwise that baby would fit me perfectly.
Back up for sale - only via ebay now as a no-reserve auction. https://www.ebay.com/itm/154319947446?ul_noapp=true *Please note - this jacket experanced a #5 Talon zipper failure, so it was sent to Dena for repair/replacement. She was unable to repair it, so a #10 nickel zipper is now installed. Came out very well. However the sleeves are just simply too short on me. So off it goes! Photos of new zip:
I actually prefer the look of the #10 zipper! The leather is tough as snot, so the heavier zipper gives it that extra sturdiness. If the sleeves were 1 inch longer it would be hanging in my closet! GLWS.
Sold pending funds via ebay. Certainly not making any money here. Time for this buy/sell cycle to be done.
It actually fetched a pretty good price! Aero jackets don't sell the way they used, that much is certain.
