If I don’t have to replace an AC unit this year, I plan to order one of these in time for Winter.

I think I’ll go with either blackened brown Vicenza or maybe a black goat hide, with a wool or alpaca lining.

The shoulders look plenty wide, so I mainly have to nail down the body length I want and the size. Christina from Aero said that a size 38 has a PtP of 19.5, which seems very slim but maybe still good.

Always looking for pics of these worn unbuttoned, if any of you have more!

This has been on my radar for a while now. It looks so good in goat suede that that'll be hard to resist.

I’ve been emailing back and forth with Holly and the one remaining question is shoulder width. I’m a fairly proportional size 38 in most regards, with a 17.75” shoulder. But in this model the 38 comes with a 19.5” shoulder! They are willing to cut it down to 18.5” but advising against going so far from stock sizing.

The shoulder width saga with Aero is indeed very, very confusing. I see stock jackets on their sale page in a size 42” with what look like 38”-40” shoulder widths (17.5”-18.5”). I measured my wool Halfbelt, a size 40”, and it measures dead on 18.5”. The p2p is nearly 24”. For all intents and purposes, it should be a very odd fit but it’s not. It’s actually pretty near ideal. I do wonder if Aero has intentionally decreased the shoulder width across the entire range.

19.5” shoulder would be what I would historically expect in a 42”. I see sale page jackets sport this number in 44’s.
Here is why it’s tough. Both these jackets are 18.5” across the shoulder, a speedy dustbowl (it was too small) and my wool green machine (fits comfortably almost “roomy”).

All this to say…I have no clue why. This wool doesn’t stretch. Maybe it’s the sleeve canons on the wool?

The fit came together well, I think. I lengthened the body a half inch over stock and shortened the sleeves an inch. In hindsight, maybe the bottom opening could have come in just a touch, but it’s still good. The blackened brown Vic suits the style, though I think this is a jacket that will look better with age (something I don’t say about all of them). I opted for black stitching, which does subdue the piping a little, but it seems to work. Julie knocked it out of the park as far as construction goes.

One of the best Aero's I've seen, ever. Congrats!
