Akubra Stylemaster question: feather weight?

Hello,

I have read the Akubra Stylemaster is described as lightweight, featherweight in fact.
How light is it? Something in the league of a Stetson Stratoliner, or a vintage Open Road? Not that I want to compare a new hat with a vintage one, it is just that I am familiarized with those Stetsons and can use it as a reference as to weight impression.
Does it hold its shape well?
Is it recommended for temperate weather, like spring or autumn?
I have perused past threads on this model, but this does not seem to be adressed.
This particular model is not available now other than in Steel Grey and Acorn. How often do they make the other colours available? That is, what's the waiting time/rotation period?
Regards!

As far as I've been able to tell, the Mid Grey and Acorn Fawn are available for immediate shipment & everything else has a 3 month waiting period. I don't know the answers to your other questions, but hopefully someone will come along and answer them.

I had a stylemaster once, briefly. I too was stoked to get a featherweight, as I had nothing close to a truly lightweight fedora. I bought it used off of an eBay seller.

I was a little disappointed. The felt was light but also quite stiff and rigid. I loved the 2.5" bound brim but found (on me) that the low crown didn't seem to support the brim width; the proportions seemed off on my face. The "bluegrass" green seemed nothing more than, well, an olive drab. I quickly turned it over.

The lightest weight current mass production felt I have found is on the Christys' Foldaway, truly as light as a butterfly's wing (well, almost)- downside- a cloth sweat and a stingy 2 1/4" brim...:( ... my .o2
