Yes i looked at them for a while before finally buying Rolling Dub Trio boots. Seems like a similar style, and the same sort of funny name. My RDT's are high quality. I imagine the SWL are pretty good too.

Thanks, will check out Rolling Dub Trio

@Monitor
You mean the models with the elevated toes?

Some of their engineer boots have a zip on the side

I've been to the Tokyo store. It's kind of in the back streets of omotesando.
The boots are all very nice quality but not really my style.

Their horween CXL boots line are quality built. The rest (except the Horween ones) are so so (light weight leather light weight sole) and can't match the quality of RDT.
They also do resole etc work at their Harajuku store.

If you're looking for a sturdy, low maintenance, pair of engineer boots to use in all circumstances, would you go with RDT?

I like my Coupen Boots a lot. I may do a review here at some point, after a couple dozen wears. I also like the chunky look of these Japanese boots/shoes, though I know not everyone does. I've never seen the engineer boots in person, but I imagine they are of a similar quality.
