I have seen many of WW II original in the flesh. I think that companies like Hanhart make a truly beautiful sub replica. I was tempted to pull the trigger on getting it but used the money to visit Germany instead. No regrets, especially when is proper to wear one watch at a time.

What a wonderful thread!

I spent some time in the ADF, so a part of me wants a wristwatch with a broad arrow. Smiths W10s are attractive, but I tell myself I don’t want to turn into a watch collector.

It’s not a true service watch, but the IWC mkXV my wife gave me for our 10th anniversary (ok, ok, maybe after a few hints!) fits the bill for me:
