Just a note to say my band, "The Big Band Sound of Deerfield" will be appearing at a club in Highwood, IL. called "Gabe's Backstage Lounge" this coming Thursday night, Feb. 16th from 7:30 till 9:30. Gabe's has a nice 40s feel club room with cocktail tables on risers and a good size hardwood dance floor.
We play 30s, 40s and 50s swing music originally performed by bands like Basie, Ellington, Herman, Dorsey with some latin big band arrangements mixed in. If you'd like the chance to dance or listen to a very, very live big band, come to Gabe's on Thursday night.
