I recently purchased this AVI LTHR A2 in Bronco jacket new from their eBay store. Unfortunately it was too big on me. I’m normally a 42R, but this was too big at the shoulders. It seems to be one or 2 sizes larger than labeled. Please see my eBay listing for further details.

Back length (without collar): 67 cm

Sorry for the botched post. Will sell here for $130. Just PM me. Can meet locally in Los Angeles, or ship.

Nice - it may be too big for you but the measurements make it a fairly standard 42. At 23.2 inches pit to pit and 19 inch shoulders, this fits like most of my 42's. Good luck with the sale.

Ah thanks for the info. I was basing my assumptions on the Size 42 A2 jacket measurements on the AVI LTHR site for the current model:

A2-SIZECHART1.png

Pit to pit: 55 cm (vs 59)
Shoulders: 47 cm (vs 50)
Back length (without collar): 66.5 cm (vs 67)

Maybe I need to try a 40R. This was my first flight jacket purchase, and it just didn't look right on my frame. I have broad shoulders, and a longer torso. Maybe the A2 look is just not for me.

Hi there, also this is not their original-maker Bronco jacket. This is their first incarnation of the A-2, its a generic pattern, which was a Bronco-like, mainly due to the scalloped pockets. I had one and yes, from my experience this jacket did run a size larger.
This is why the measurements don't add up. I think you are using the original maker Bronco measurements from the website.
Their original-maker Bronco jacket is a completely different 'animal' and a completely different pattern, and will fit very different from this jacket.
Price is fair, should sell. Good luck.

That makes more sense. Their size 42 is the equivalent of a 38 in most other patterns I've seen. Maybe they were going with a 1940's sizing concept. It's true the A2 doesn't suit everyone and can look quite awkward. But if you are of average height and thin it should work.
