Where are you? The major courier/parcel UK companies with international partners are: TNT(now part of Fedex) UPS (UK) DHL APC Parcel Force, DPD There are some smaller players like Tufnells and DX, but they tend to subcontract to a larger carrier. If you do a search of the companies named, then email each one asking the price of carriage, not forgetting to ask if there's any surcharges like insurance cover and/or taxes, you can make an informed decision from their replies. Hope that helps.

I import a fair amount of items from the UK. I insist on Royal Mail as it comes straight to me...no tax, no duty and cheaper. Couriers always go through customs, I get charged tax, duty, brokerage and handling. Royal Mail is taking 2 weeks to get to me on the west coast of Canada.
