Bogart's Homburg

I always really liked Bogart in "Sabrina." It was a pretty different role than his usual fare and I think he pulled it off beautifully.

also, noticed a very unique custom; men removing their hats while in an elevator.

Used to be pretty common. The idea was that you were in an enclosed space, indoors and you might inadvertently bang into someone with your hat brim.
Another one of those polite gestures that has its origins in a a very practical social consideration.

winced when audrey hepburn snaps down the brim of his homburg. i guess i might give audrey hepburn some leeway. . . but wouldn't let anyone else get away with behavior like that. how about you guys? what if your wife or girlfriend took it upon herself to alter your hats?

Saw Christy Brinkley in a homburg once- I'd cut her a little slack.
