Borsalino Allessandria for sale

I am posting this for a friend in Canada who is trying to save enough money to come visit me. It is her finest hat but the visit is important so it is time to let it go. This is a Borsalino circa 1982-1985 if the numbers are correct and in excellant condition. light brown/tan color and very soft felt. Size is 7 1/8 and price is $100 plus actual shipping

From my fairly limited knowledge of Borsalinos I'd put that hat as older than your estimate.

I don't know Borsalinos. I had read that the serial numbers gave the year of manufacture but if it is older so much the better. Do you have an idea on its age?
