Few days ago I went to look few hats at someone’s place because it wasn’t clear to me whether his Borsalinos were sized in points or not and it turned out it wasn’t so the 4 hats were way too small for me. I bought a hat stand so it wasn’t completely a waste of time and gas.

Recently got really excited about a fedora on eBay, only to be really confused about the size labeling…this thread helped a lot, thanks!

I’m trying to attach pictures, but no luck yet.

In any case, the listing was for a “7.5” hat. So, I asked for a picture of the size/tags on the band and they came back with “7 1/2, 7 5/8, 62” which seemed off, until I looked at the chart and saw that if it was 7 5/8 “English,” it would make some sense (guess the 7.5 was the “punti” size?). The label was a sticker with only those numbers and spaces in between.

Those numbers seem to be US, UK and European (centimeters) sizes. No punti listed there.
