Broken shoelace

Interesting , not sure if anyone does this. Broke a shoelace and instead of fighting to get the frayed bit back through the hole or moistening it you can wrap a small piece of tape around the fray and it slips right back through. If you have easy access to tape of course.

If it's nylon or some other plastic, just burn the end with a match or lighter and trim to fit.

Replacement laces seem harder to find. Even at the shoe repair shop i find that they don't have the same lace as came with the shoes very often.
