Burbank/Palm Springs Hat Shops

I will be in the Burbank and Palm Springs areas for a trip in a couple of weeks. Are there any good hat shops that I should look into in those areas?

I also have a couple of old Stetson fedoras that need major cleaning and repairs (ie. replace sweatband and ribbons), so if there are any hat stores that would be of some help in that respect, I would appreciate the referrals.

Finally, I would be interested in finding a store that carries the Scout hat cleaning spray. I hope I could bring some back with me on the airplane if I am allowed.

SoCal Hat Shops

If you come over the Cahuenga Pass into Hollywood, you can visit Hollywood Hatters at La Brea/Melrose. There are also a number of vintage clothing shops around Melrose but fedoras are spotty. In Burbank there is Baron Hats. This shop does a lot of custom work for the studios. The real treasures at Barons are collecting dust in huge boxes in the back. Fedoras, they claim, they will get around to cleaning up and blocking, but they never do. Both hatters have websites. Also try It's A Wrap on Magnolia in Burbank and Hubba Hibba, a vintage shop on the next block. Rarely, but it does happen, It's A Wrap (a studio wardrobe outlet shop) will offer a fedora or two which has been worn in a film or TV series. Hubba Hubba opens at noon. On the back wall there are always vintage hats. However, Mad Men does shopping there so the sizes left are usually small.
Happy hunting!

Thanks for the referrals. I had Baron's on my list and was wondering about their ability to service any hats I needed to have cleaned/restored.
As for It's a Wrap, it seems that they have a lot of Star Trek stuff and only a few other item on their website. For Hubba Hubba, the Google search only pulled up a list of reviews of how much customers disliked their experiences there due the overbearing nature of the owner.
So it looks like I will take a look at Hollywood Hatters to see what they may have. Thanks again.

P. S. Do you know where I can find Scout Hat cleaners in the Burbank area?
