I recently bought this jacket and would like to know more about it. The lining is almost completely gone which is kinda weird but I took a picture of what’s left. Can anyone tell me when it’s from or if it’s horsehide or steerhide? Thanks!
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I'd say the same. It is early mid 50s. These were a very popular jacket in post-war USA, the military look with the cuffs and collars, very useful, comfortable jackets that were made for work or leisure. They came in a variety of configurations; no fur collar, no zip, different pockets, but typically the knitted cuffs and waist.Looks like an old Windward civilian flight jacket. I recall the green lining. Horsehide. I’d guess 50s at the earliest but… Hopefully someone else will chime in. These jackets aren’t my style so that is all I know. But a Google starting point. GL.
