Chimpanzees living in the West African savanna have been observed fashioning deadly spears from sticks and using the handcrafted tools to hunt small mammals--the first routine production of deadly weapons observed in animals other than human beings.

I recall that they would do tool making, fashioning slender sticks to poke into ant or termite nests. The soldier insects attacked the stick and held on allowing the chimps to pull out the stick and eat the insects.

This is kind of cool. Reminds me of The Most Dangerous Game. Now when hunting, you'll have to keep an eye on these crafty animals.
