Ok, I'm reading up on how to sew shirt collars so they lay properly. This brings me to an important topic:
I know in general, collar points on shirts were longer in the 40's, and gradually got shorter in the 50's. Also in some cases, the mid-50's collars were rounded off, typically on more "sporty" or "Rock n roll" shirts and jackets.
However, were they consistently LONG during the 40's? Pointy? Were long collars considered casual? In short, I know the general info, I'm looking to see who can fill in the finer points.
