Copying vintage hats.....

On hats with a double bow the front of the bow is a single and the back of the bow is doubled and flared up. Thus, the bow flares to the back.

On the hat in question the bow doubles and flares to the front. That's why I think the hat is being displayed with the back of the brim snapped down, not the front. To position the hat so that the flare is to the back of the hat the bow would be on the right side.

I've seen the double bow in the front and back too, but I don't think this has that. But I could be wrong. I've been wrong before. ;)
