My turn in line at Goodwear is coming up and John has offered to make me a private purchase version of his Knopf contract with a California sportswear label, no AN stamp, and if I desire, a rayon lining (brown). Any opinions between a rayon or cotton lining for an A2 jacket? Thank you.

Well, I've always heard that rayon will last longer. Rayon itself can have different textures. I've seen rayon resemble silk or a sturdy cotton. If it looked good and was comfortable I would have no problem with it. And Joel-please make another post soon. Right now you're number is 666!:eeek:

The devil is in the A-2 details. Thanks for the head's-up.

When the cotton lining went to pieces in my Avirex A2 I substituted it with a rayon lining which had the the same color and texture. I believe that cotton will not stand up for long as a liner. It´s a matter of personal taste and how often you wear the jacket.
