Garage find! Excellent shape. Looked online at several Detroit Police style jackets with the noticeable large pocket in the front, but the inside belt straps look different. Not sure of year either. What do you guys think? Age? Buco? Horse? Steer?

While Buco probably first developed this style of police jacket, many other makers made a very similar style of jacket.

I've owned a couple in this style made by other makers. Metropolitan made other police uniform jackets.

These are steerhide, the early Bucos may have been horsehide, but most seen today are Steerhide.

I've found this style very comfortable no matter the maker.
