Dapper Dan

Sorry, to open an old thrad, but it reminds me of the Dapper Dan scene in O' Brother Where Art Thou in the general store with George Clooney. "I don't want any Wop, I want Dapper Dan," or something like that.

FYI, it's FOP not Wop. We don't want to offend anyone around here inadvertantly now do we?!

I was actually one of the first human beings to see O' Brother Where Art Thou? at it's first screening at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival. When I got there to the Palais for the screening, they were giving away Dapper Dan pomeade cans.

I, of course, was given one. Oddly enough, it is highly accurate in looks, EXCEPT it has O' Brother Where Art Thou labeling around the can and instead of the Dapper Dan man, it has a similar photo of George Clooney instead.

I'll see if I can't get pics of it up soon.

You know, it occurs to me that if someone wanted to, they could probably just repackage brylcreem into Dapper Dan tins and make a mint
