Difference betweek Schott PER50 & PER62

Dear all,

is anyone able to explain the difference between the Schott PER50 and the Schott PER62. What i can read on their website, there is no much difference reg. the fitting. Both seems to be Teacore leather variants (the PER62 is particularly named as Teacore), designed to bring up the brown underneath very soon. So i´m a bit lost to choose between one of them.

PER50 is the PER70 without pre-distressing.

From my own reading—and I own neither—they differ mainly by using hide of different weights: one normal weight and one heavyweight. That should be your deciding factor. Other differences I noticed:

P62:
normal weight chrome-tanned European cowhide
conmar zippers
2 snaps on lapel
Houndstooth lining
No snap closure in inner chest pocket
Curved lower back kidney panel

P50:
heavyweight semi-veg tanned cowhide with wax finish
standard ykk zippers
No lapel snaps to hold lapel in place
Gingham lining
Snap closure in inner chest pocket
Horizontal lower back kidney panel
