hello my name is bubba. i love hats but i generally wear caps. but about 5 days ago my nephew and his dad was riding around and spotted and estate sale. they went in and noticed a hat in a box and ask how much for it. the lady told them 3 dollars and also siad it had once belonged to a preacher that passed away. so my nephew told his dad that his uncle would love this hat so they bought it. well later that day they show up at my house and give it to me i was so greatful it was a very beautiful hat but i know nothing about it could someone help me. i will try to describe it as best as i can. its like a charcoal grey. the box says champ hats. inside it says esablished 1817 mallory fifth ave new york. for youthful smartness. premier quality. its a 7 and 1 quarter size. the leather band says MOLLORY "THE DALLAS" gravenette processed. sheds showers. the other side of the band says bradfield bros mcrae GA. also while i was looking i noticed somthing sticking up outside the leather. i pulled it out it was a scripture calander from 1954 with a scripture for each day of the week. could anyone help me with the age and also how much it could be worth cause if it has a little value i would be scared to wear it. thanks bubba
