I think they found a way to ship it without the extra duties. From what I understand, they would’ve charged me on pick up if there was something additional for me to pay.

In my experience with duties/tariffs, DHL and UPS require you to pay before delivery. With fed ex I always got a bill in the mail a few weeks later.

Thank you! It’s a bit stiffer than I was expecting (compared to the one I tried on), but I suspect it will soften up adequately with wear. It is not as stiff as the Flathead jacket I tried on in Japan.

It’s lighter in weight than expected with the 1.3-1.5 mm thickness. It feels really good when I put it on, but between a super busy work day and warm summer weather, I haven’t had a chance to wear it much yet.

The leather is stunning, next level compared to my LL and Langlitz jackets. It has deeper color and luster, and the grain texture is also nicer. My Vanson in Horween Pinnacle horsehide is having the cuffs changed to better withstand my watches so I can’t compare the DH to that, but I suspect it will come out on top.

I ordered directly from DH. I placed my order on May 28 and with a 4 day delay (on DHL) it arrived July 1. They do not have stock laying around, at least for not my order, so it was made for me. I’m not certain if some models are in stock or not. Not bad at all.

It looks absolutely amazing. It's making me wonder why RMC and others are such a big name (or simply bigger than DH) when this one at least in pictures I don't see it having anything lesser than them.

The other day I was saying how if I get another jacket it'll be another Thedi and, while I still think I would ultimately go for another Thedi, a Double Helix is suddenly a very close second option.

Of the top Japanese brands, I’ve only handled a Flathead’s jacket. But this video made me start to consider DH:

There are several other videos where he compares different Japanese brands as well as d-pockets. I’m not saying his reviews are the last word or anything, but they definitely opened my eyes, and for the price, I don’t think these DH jackets can be beat.

That first one looks like a Y2 NH-55, which has tempted me in the past but I never pulled the trigger.
