I recently have become attached to pre 60s Ward jackets. Being raised on MC Ward and Sears I kind of looked more for Hercules jackets and Sears were more prolific in numbers of jackets I have come to the conclusion Wards jackets are more interesting.
I will start with a 40s halfbelt identified by dinnerman as a wards jacket

The perfecto-styled jacket is mine. The Appalachian-styled one is on eBay and calling my name.

I Love these jackets! I’ve had a few nice Hercules jackets and they are special too. I feel like this Windward is the pride and joy of my collection and it’s my favorite jacket. I haven’t had a chance to wear this one yet but it looks like Chicago’s schizophrenic spring might provide an opportunity this weekend. I’m always on the hunt for jackets of this era that I can wear.

That is the one I could not bring myself to sell owned it longer than any of my other jackets, not a real flattering fit but I feel cool wearing it.

This is a post WWII label used until around 1950.
