This may be the very same model of RMC's B-3 that I've recently had a privilege to see in person, earlier this year, and I can testify to the fact that it is the most impressive piece of outerwear that I have EVER handled IRL. I don't suppose it's possible to buy a better B-3 or perhaps one that equals this jacket, regardless of how much money you can spare.
Well, it's your size now isn't it? And you also live in the UK. Don't hesitate, it's really quite unique jacket and John asks for a very reasonable price.
I'm not in the UK but in Europe so close by. I have to check with the customs if they've reinstated taxes on purchases from UK but I'm definitely thinking about it - provided it survives this long.
I will accept payment by PayPal family and friends but not regular payment by them. During Covide restrictions I realise getting to the bank is not easy.
Yes....actually it was a difficult decison both from sizing and jacket thickness point of view but on the other hand I had been searching for a RMC B-3 for years...I've never seen one in reality or tried one on. I know it's a gamble since the jacket is quite expensive. If I hadn't so many leather jackets, I would have considered your advice (LW B-2 with Alpaca lining...btw. I do have an Aero LHB with Alpaca lining which is too thin when it's getting too cold).
Congratulations mate, I really wanted to purchase it, but I was worried about the shoulder width. Gree with envy, but happy for you
Thanks! Yes shoulder width was also my concern due to lack of experience with shearling jackets...let's wait and see and keep thinking positive
I'm glad that I bought it, because I also followed this Buyee/Yahoo auction and price 2 days before auction end is already at around 1200€...I suppose this is the newer version which was manufactured in Japan. But I'm not sure as description says: THE REAL McCOY'S Former Real McCoy's B-3 Perry's PERRY SPORTS Real Name Reprint Flight Jacket 42R War Model https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/q403507952?conversionType=search_suggest#group=nogroup&photo=0
