I was about to start a food thread. I'm always thinking about eating when I'm not. I know these aren't all "dishes" but here it goes:

*Dairy Queen Chocolate Ice Cream Oreo Blizzard (I am a slave)
*PIZZA
*Chinese food (chicken or beef with broccoli)
*My belated grandmother's stuffed cabbage, blintzes and rib roast
*My secret recipe meatloaf
*Mashed potatoes (I can make a meal of them)
*Cereal- good for breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert
*Crusty European style bread
*Focaccia
*Popcorn
*Steak- medium rare
*Pancakes with real maple syrup
*Apple Pie
*NYC Bagels
*Knishes

There's more, but I just got hungry and need to step away.

oh geez... a food thread. Most of my favorites are quite southern... although I do have a few non-southern foods thrown in here and there. Sadly, my mom doesnt cook any of these much anymore, and I live alone, so I dont look like this for myself ever. :(

numero uno: MY chicken and dumplings. My mama is hands down one of the best cooks out there, but I have to say I make a better pot of those than she does.

Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and coleslaw. (my hips, and fat behind prove it)

Biscuits and sausage gravy

I love chicken lo mein

potato gnocci

motzah ball soup

When its cold out, nothing beats a bowl of tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwhich.

now, to go eat a bowl of ramen. :(

Awwww. You should cook for yourself this weekend and post pics of your creations! It'll be like you're cooking for someone else. :)

How about everyone just come over to my house for a big pot of chicken and dumplings? We can watch old movies after. I'll have someone to cook for, and I wont have to sit and watch Casablanca for the umpteenth time by myself.

I really need a life. and/or a boyfriend... or friends that dont all move away at the end of the semester. Any takers?

Steak.

To me, there is nothing tastier on earth than a perfectly cooked steak. If I were on death row, that'd be my last meal request, with black forest cake for dessert.

Mmm... I could go for some steak RIGHT NOW...

I think my favorite "dish" comes down to a choice between Kat, Magneto, and Decodoll.... or at least their avatars. :p (exit, stage left...outrunning the flying tomatoes)
