Well I got in the mail, its a Stacy Adams Signature Series. I don't think it frames my face very well, it fits me nicely, it has a nice crown, the brim is a bit too wide for me it looks like. But I like it a lot. It changes color depending on light from a dark dark brown, to a greenish brown to a gray. The Ribbon is a bit wrinkled, how do I fix that? Anyway, whadya guys think?

I think it looks great. Give it a little tilt to the side. That makes it look like you're having fun with your hat, even if you don't smile.:)

Thanks! thats how I usually wear it. I think it looks better. I love the hat I took the crappy Stacy Adams emblem off the ribbon. This is just like one of the ones my Gramps had.

I think it looks rather nice, if you get to feeling bold... put a teardrop crease in it. You will get a whole new look out of it then!
Wet the ribbon down with your finger, and smooth the ribbon out, it may take a couple of times to fix it but that should work.

There's a hat bashing thread somewhere here started by Matt Deckard. It used to be a sticky, but that seems to have stopped. Its here somewhere. Also, Jimmy the Lid had a recent thread that showed his way of doing the teardrop.

I think the brim width is nice and looks good on you!

I do think a teardrop or diamond crease would make it look even better.

Just to be repetitive I know, but you look very good with the wide brim and that is a very nice hat. A teardrop would change its perspective a bit and you might like that better.

Whether you change the crease is up to you, but I think the hat looks good on you, especially with that suit. But, one thing you must do to improve that look is to unbutton your suit when you sit down. Single breasted suits are supposed to be unbuttoned when you sit down, otherwise they don't drape right.

Gonna have to disagree with the others. That level of taper and the pre-set crease and dents/pinch look very good. I would not change it.

As far as I know you only need steam (from a kettle for example) and your hands. Or wait for the hat to get wet from rain and then reshape it; I did this to tighten the pinch on the hat in my avatar.

I'm a newbie here too but I think the shape of the hat fits your features well. Looks good! Maybe you're just not used to seeing yourself in it yet. It happens to me too 'till I get used to it. Again I think it looks great! Wear it a while before you decide how and and wheather or not to change it - Kangfish
