With the Board Racer, it is generally advised to move up one in size. It's not a huge jump in measurement, but enough that the jacket becomes much more wearable.
If the leather was scuffed when it arrived, you should have told Aero. I'd not be too bothered by that because such a scratch would happen pretty soon into wearing something, but if you inform them, perhaps they can do something.
