During the preproduction of Quentin Tarantino's 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,' its costume designer, Arianne Phillips, came up with this unique watch and strap combo for Brad Pitt to wear as part of his character, Cliff Booth.
The watch itself is a reproduction of Citizen's original 'Bullhead' released in 1973, while the custom leather bund strap was handcrafted by Red Monkey Los Angelus. Following the release of the film, Red Monkey sold 350 total numbered watches in the US as part of their collaboration with Citizen, and Citizen itself later sold a lesser amount of unnumbered watches locally in Japan. The current watch posted here is one of the unnumbered variations that was originally purchased in Japan.
