Hi,
Up for sale is an original Vietnam Era Leather G-1 Pilot's jacket.
Its a NICE G-1 Jacket made by THE MARTIN LANE CO. INC.
The tag reads:
JACKET, FLYING MANS INTERMEDIATE TYPE G-1
MIL-J-78230 (WP)
8415-268-7798
DSA 100-68-C-0099
Size 38
The jacket is in Beautiful shape! It must have been an issued/worn jacket as the inside right panel has stenciled GLA 12. The knit wrist bands are in beautiful shape, and so are the knit cuffs. There are 2 small pricks in the band. 1 on the left side (pictured next to a dime, right above the dime is a 1/4" tiny white line, it will probably clean off, not sure what it is) and 1 on the right size.
The jacket really is in great shape. The leather is still nice and supple and soft. You can wear this for YEARS to come, probably a life time if you take care of it. I would keep the jacket if it was a size 44, but its a 38.
