Tuxedo jacket, made by Barnet Jacobs in January, 1938. of the approximate EU suit jacket size 48 / 50 plus a waist-coat in a roughly same size.
You may have seen it in another thread...

...but in short & entirely thanks to awesome @Mean Eyed Matt's brilliantly informative info, this is a 30's UK made tuxedo jacket that had been modernized sometime during the 50's.
Other than that, it's quite literally as new. If there are signs that it had ever been worn, to me they are imperceptible. Absolutely not a hint of any flavour of odor.
Compared to suits today, this thing is made from a full on deep winter grade wool. Even the lining and the shiny satin on the lapels are heavy. Lining anything, even a leather jacket, with such material today would be
Single button. Full-canvas, naturally. Beautifully structured, especially in the shoulders. Etc.
I believe that the vest is of a more recent manufacture. I'm thinking 50's or perhaps 60's. It certainly has a more... streamlined vibe to it, construction-wise, compared against many evidently hand-made aspects of the tux.
Numbers seemed okay for me but they aren't, which is why it has to go. I'd have to do extensive alterations on it but I don't think I am skillful enough to take such a project on. That it had resisted time for so long is wonderful and I would hate to be end of that.
Measurements are. . .
► Chest - 53 cm
► Waist, across pockets - 50 cm
► Shoulders, between seams - 45 cm
► Sleeve, outside curve - 62 cm
► Back, w/o collar - 74 cm
As for the most important part, which is the price... Let me know what it is worth to you and let's get it on the way to you.
Thank you kindly and have a beautiful day.
