I purchased this hoping it would fit, but it doesn't. I'd like to get what I paid, so I'm asking $25 shipped in the Continental US.
From the research I've found on the Lounge, this appears to be a late 1950s or early 1960s Mallory, made by Stetson. I come to the date conclusion because "Fifth Avenue" is still used on the inner label and sweatband, whereas later Mallory hats (1960s) appear to have dropped the "Fifth Ave" and also have a wave pattern under "Mallory" on the liner label.
Measurements:
Labeled 7-1/8
Circumference: 22-5/16"
Brim: 1-7/8"-
Crown: 5"
Ribbon: 2"
The pictures show the felt color well, although the ribbon is pure black and not faded like the pictures tend to show. The hat is in excellent condition other than a very small drop stain on the liner that is half-covered by the sweatband. The hat could use a good brushing. Please PM me if interested. Thanks.
