FS: Early Langlitz Horsehide Leather Pants, W34/L32-ish

Messages

Just got these but simply not the fit I'm after.

INFO✶
Langlitz
leather pants, model Westerns. Scott of Langlitz confirmed them to be made from heavy horsehide. Manufactured in the early 60's or maybe even late 50's (feel free to ask yourself). Omega-Grail.

$300 + shipping. PP/FF. Non negotiable.

Brand new pair in cowhide will set you back more than a thousand dollars and it will look like a pair of leather pants. That's great if that's what you're after.
These, on the other hand, just might be the coolest looking leather pants that I've ever seen. We buy old stuff 'cause it looks good and it doesn't get any better than this.
Regardless, this is still a Langlitz piece which means even after I don't even know how many years, these pants are gonna do their job on a bike just as the day they were made. Ain't just for the show, you're getting here a perfect pair of legit motorcycle leather pants and that's the coolest part.
If I was a collector, these would be the crown jewel of my collection but I'm not a collector. I'm an explorer & I want to wear the stuff I buy.

✶FEATURES✶
Four zippered pocket setup. Snap-on fly closure (never had a zipper). Cuff TALON zippers. Fully lined. Also, horsehide. Langlitz horsehide. Never did though I'd ever see it in person. More rare than... Anything.

✶CONDITION✶
While clearly heavily worn in, the horsehide is as good as it's always been. Thick, soft, pliable & healthy. No cuts, scuffs, etc.; Just creases, intense fading and a load of character. Re-dyed would make them look 5 years old! @JMax, who kindly proxied these to me, can hopefully confirm this.

Two noteworthy issues of which one isn't even an issue...
• The pants have been narrowed at the waist. The alteration has been done by hand, charmingly nicely at that. This just makes them coller in my opinion but it's something I gotta note either way.
• Left back-pocet zipper pull tab is missing.

All else, all good. No odor of any kind.

✶MEASUREMENTS✶
Fit like a regular, straight Levi's jeans sized W34/L32 (approx.) with a high rise & the exact measurements are...
  • Waist width (measured front): 44 cm / 17"
  • Front rise: 36 cm / 14"
  • Across hips: 60 cm / 23.5"
  • Thigh width: 32 cm / 12.5"
  • Knee width: 24 cm / 9.5
  • Inseam length: 78 cm / 30.7"
  • Full length: 108 cm / 42.5"
✶MISC & PHOTOS✶

@Monitor if they ever get through bloody customs I'll let you know! I bought a set of leathers from Iowa a few weeks ago and they've been held since last week. I don't even have a pic of the pants! The jacket is 60s for sure (Coats and Clark), but I can't say with certainty when the pants are from. They do have some vertical snaps on the cuffs (three I think?). The thing is.....I have ANOTHER Langlitz jacket in HH on it's way to me that would match your pants perfectly. Like perfectly. AND yours are in my size. So I guess we wait....

Langlitz HH jacket & pants would really be it! We wait, then.

I've also listed them on eBay but so far I'm only having to deal with typical eBay losers and low-ballers. But they are having some surprising interest. I'd much rather sell them here, though. Hate dealing with eBay's crap, especially now when I've no idea if they'll even get the payment through...

Dude sorry to derail your Classified post! But I have to show you this...needed to have the zipper replaced, which they've done at Langlitz...shipped direct from the seller. This one will hopefully arrive this week too, and check out how well they would match...

This is happenin'! Leather seems to be the exact match. Man, that would look Mad Max cool together.

Pictures say it all, but I definitely can confirm that the hide is outta this world amazing. I’ve owned a couple of 50s Langlitz— this is more beautiful. Anyone who buys them will be happy AF. And Monitor is on point when you deal with him.

Okay, these are generating a lot of interest & I'm getting tons of questions but... Please people, I know you love these & yeah, they're really cool but while I don't mind measuring the thickness of belt loops, if you aren't sure you plan on wearing leather pants, neither the brand name nor the leather type (nor the thickness of belt loops) won't change your mind.

If you wear leather pants, this is a fantastic deal for a Grail-grade rarity of an item. So yeah...
